Events delayed in Danang

Danang is currently the city most heavily affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Da Nang People's Committee has issued a dispatch from 13h on 26/7/2020 will suspend activities, events crowded with people.

  • Cultural event “Danang Fantastic Festival 2020”, which is held on a large scale every year, scheduled to be held on July 30 - August 5, 2020, halted because of the outbreak of COVID-19 in Danang.

  • International Fair EWEC 2020 in Da Nang held on 4th to 9th August 2020 also will be postponed.

  • Organization Committee of Danang International Marathon 2020 has published an official announcement to cancel the event on 9 August 2020 to ensure safety due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Danang Fantastic Festival 

Ho Chi Minh City delayed many big events

From 31 July 2020, Ho Chi Minh City will temporarily stop organizing crowded events, according to the dispatch of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the afternoon of 30th July, to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic.

The 16th ITE HCMC 2020 will be held on 4th to 6th September, an annual event for Vietnam's tourism industry, which has been canceled to prevent COVID-19.

Hanoi temporarily canceled organizing international tourism fairs and tournaments

Based on the command of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, from the afternoon of 29 July, suspend all crowded activities such as festivals and fairs. 

  • Vietnam International Tourism Mart- VITM Hanoi 2020 organized by Vietnam Tourism Association has been postponed, this is the third postponement due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The event is scheduled to be held from 12th to 15th August 2020.

  • Many professional tournaments in Vietnam have been halted by the outbreak of COVID-19, the national U16 tournament expected to open in the afternoon of 1st August 2020 is no exception.

Hue Festival 2020 will be canceled this year

The People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province sent a letter on the afternoon of 27th July requesting the postponement of organizing crowed festivals and cultural events to focus on the prevention of COVID-19.

On the afternoon of 1st August 2020, the Organization Committee of Hue Festival 2020 gave the official announcement about canceling this event related to the COVID-19 epidemic. Previously, the Hue Festival 2020 scheduled to be held from 26th to 31st August 2020, then it was postponed to 2021. Hue Festival is a big event to promote the cultural image of Vietnam to the international, the cancelation will be the most unfortunate.
