VIIF has attracted 500 delegates, who are representative from government departments of ASEAN countries, cooperate nations, foreign enterprises and investors.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam said that the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is creating unprecedented transformations in all fields of economy, social life, even individual. It is the emergence of new business models, the change in the process of production, the shift in industries and services.
VietNam ICT Investment Forum 2018 (VIIF 2018) is organized to assist other parties identify the importance of digital connectivity in the industry 4.0. In particular, investment in digital infrastructure, data infrastructure, exploiting internet broadband, 4G network and 5G investment roadmap, ensuring network security. Take advantage of Vietnam's position in the region; Encourage Vietnamese enterprises to cooperate in the investment on digital field of countries in Greater Mekong Subregion such as Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar and Southeast Asia.
At the Symposium, four thematic workshops took place in two days (27 and 28-9) focusing on the following topics: Investment Policy on Digital Connectivity to meet Industrial Revolution 4.0; ASEAN digital connectivity; Digital Solutions and Services on the 4G / 5G Platform and Future Urban Life.
On the sidelines of the conference, the India - ASEAN ICT Expo attracts the participation of 30 Indian and Vietnamese IT and telecom companies. Exhibitors introduce products, services, telecommunications and IT solutions; IoT solutions are applied in socio-economic sectors such as smart city, traffic management, agriculture and banking.
